>Too Good not to Share

> Funny, but also somewhat accurate. Everyone probably has some story about how their worship experience has changed over the years. I must admit I get as excited to read the first question to the Heidelberg Catechism in church as I used to about singing Chris Tomlin.

Anyone else care to share their evolving worship sensibilities?

  1. >Thanks for the link–none near enough to visit without some special planning.Funny, liturgy has grown more appealing to me over the years–my SBC relatives would shudder and my Catholic relatives would be confused. We did enjoy and appreciate the Reformed Episcopal church in Dallas (back during our DTS days) over near the SMU campus–none like that here though.

  2. >I think it sounds like someone needs some liturgy! Here’s a listing of Reformed Churches that practice liturgy, perhaps you can find one in your area:http://liturgicalinstitute.wordpress.com/churches/

  3. >Hmmmm, currently I’m the next-to-last on the right. It’s been 25+ yrs. since I was the one on the FAR left. So, what exactly does this say about me?

  4. >lol! I’m either the 2nd or 3rd guy from the right. I don’t do the whole ‘throw your hands in the air and wave ’em around like you just don’t care’ thing at church.

  5. >I’m probably the penultimate, grumpy chap. There might have been a time when I thought about going Orthodox, but now I have to say with the Dread Pirate Robert, “Sorry. Known too many Spaniards.” 😉

  6. >I enjoy visiting the uber-liturgical services occasionally [i.e. Anglo-Catholic, Orthodox]. On the East’s Easter (April 27?) or their Good friday, we might get some people to go to the service at Holy Trinity Orthodox in dallas. Hopefully that will propitiate the Emerger in me to get some incense action. Man, those Orthodox just smell holy.

  7. >I think I’m either the 4th or 5th guy in line. Given a little more time, unless something else changes, I could be the last guy one the end.
